A little foot functioning...

Post #2 of the night...woohoo! I couldn't be more proud of who this young lady is becoming and how she's maturing- my sweet Abigail.   She just returned from her first youth choir/mission tour where they ministered to many people including various veterans at a VA Hospital, people visiting on the USS Yorktown, and people at several parks and churches.  She's learning to share her faith and even be rejected because of her boldness of faith on her trip.  All great life lessons she's learning at a young age.

The week she returned from Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina she had the opportunity to lead in vacation bible school on the worship team.  WOW...I was BLOWN away.  Truly!  Her little personality is just blossoming AND she volunteered to get up in front of hundreds of people, too!
Here's a little taste on video of just a very small part she had in leading on the worship team.
Some "Foot Functioning" going on...love it!

 And then...

Since all the VBS kids raised over $1000 for missions the worship team got pie in their face!  Guess who had the honors putting pie in Ab's face!?!  SURELY, she'll still love me???
And the fun just didn't stop.  Kimberly and Abigail did a little diddy in Walk-Mart- too funny!  There was a toddler around the corner with eye as big as saucers watching!  I think will be singing these VBS songs for the rest of the summer (no, for the rest of...until infinity and beyond!)
Classic Kimberly and Abigail.  Love these girls!
Who says you can't have fun in Wal-Mart with your momma!  Super wonder girls... powers activate...or whatever the saying is!

Proud of you.  Love you so much!

I Timothy 4:12 "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."

Two Great Kids...busy times

If you'll remember from an earlier post Audrey An worked SO hard on lines for a special part in her church spring musical, The Star Factor, and she couldn't have been MORE thrilled to get a special part of a...SHEEP!  No speaking, no singing...not even "baa-ing"- you would have thought someone had given her a million bucks though!  So precious.

Cutest little sheep I've ever seen!

Abigail's middle school youth choir from church...

Their program they gave at our church the week prior to them leaving on the choir/mission tour to South Carolina.
Missions Recognition night at church.  Look at all those badges AA earned in Girls in Action.  Thankful for many programs to enhance what we're teaching at home!

Sweet little journal entry Audrey An wrote for her first grade class book.  Our family's first published writer!
These notes give you a glimpse into my girl's heart!

LOOOVE her spellings!

And, ahem...this is what AA place on the window sill of the girls' bathroom that he's been renovating. HA!
Somewhere in the midst of all the year end activities and beginning of summer ones David and I both celebrated our birthdays, anniversary, Mother's/Father's day!
Our date to celebrate it all...love this guy!

Audrey An's second teacher of the year...Mrs. W was very gracious and patient with our little gal as we moved her back into first grade after Fall Break this school year.  AA just thrived and is ready to move ahead to second grade now!! (maybe will need some extra tutoring in spelling though!)

Abigail's awesome sixth grade teacher, Mrs. R!  She had a FANTASTIC year at her new school.  We love Mrs. R, and will miss her next year.  She goes to our church so Abby gets to snag a few extra hugs on the weekend from her!  She adores Mrs. R.  I'm So very thankful for several godly women who've come into Abby's life this year!  Watch out, seventh grade....whoa!!!!!
Spring band concert- moved up to third chair flute!
Abs and some of her school and church buddies (whose parents are great friends of ours as well...makes it nice that all get along!)
Abigail and Audrey An after raking in their awards on Honors Day.  Abigail earned A/B Honor Roll (only one B all year!), Most Improved Band Player (flute), and the best accomplishment...Christian Character Award for her class.  First grade didn't "officially" have an honor roll, but if they had, Audrey An would have earned the A Honor Roll.  Pretty amazing given the fact she knew NO ENGLISH four years ago (on a side note...when we received their standardized testing back on Bible knowledge she had almost a perfect score).  Wow.  Does that tell you something or what!  Proud of you both, girls!  God has blessed you both in many ways and in many different ways.  I can't wait to see the next year brings.

Ok, now school's out...time for a trip! Two carry-on suitcases for us three gals.  Hmmm, guess which one is mine? (hint: the nice orderly one at the bottom of the pic) and guess whose is the top one (hint: it's NOT Audrey An's!)?  Oh my word... Oh well, it all got to Houston the same way, but HERS had a lot more wrinkles than mine!  Nanny-nanny-boo-boo!  It's one of those things I'm having to let go...there are way bigger fish to fry!

My favorite four muskateers...Owen, Abigail, Audrey An, McKenzie Grace!  It's pure JOY to see them together- best buddies.

It's been almost a year since we've seen each other...WAY TOO LONG to NOT see your BFF!!!  Love ya, girl!

Yep, it happened again.  As you can tell I'm way behind on my blog.  My goal this weekend is to get caught on our life so you might just get a few more posts our of me in the next couple of days...maybe couple of hours.  I guess I'm letting the pictures in this one tell most of the story!
